JVRAD exists to ensure high-quality ambulance service for residents of the rural ambulance district.
JVRAD Board of Directors
The Jefferson Valley Rural Ambulance District (JVRAD) is governed by an elected board of people who value high quality ambulance service and want that service to be sustainable. The board operates as part of Jefferson County Government. Our funds are held by Jefferson County. Current board member are: Susan Pullman, Jenny Scott, Rico Patacini, Holly Harper, and Jeannie Ferriss (soon).
District Boundaries and Cost
The boundaries of JVRAD are the same as the boundaries for the Whitehall High School District, including Madison County and the Town of Whitehall. JVRAD residents pay a $29 fee with their annual taxes. JVRAD contracts with JVEMSR to provide emergency medical services in the district.
There is no way to join JVRAD as an individual at this time.
Why a Rural Ambulance District?
Having access to high-quality ambulance services is critical to the safety of Jefferson Valley residents. The fees collected by the JVRAD Board support the contracted ambulance service and ensures that an ambulance service will be there when a district resident needs medical help.

We usually meet the third Monday of the month, and our meeting agendas are posted at the post office in Whitehall. The meeting location varies, so if you cannot make it to the post office to see the agenda, send us an email.We'll get back to you ASAP.
